Update to Resort Facility Closure -- May 27, 2009
At the April quarterly Board meeting the POATRI Board resolved to sell or lease the resort property. In the interim the facility remains closed to minimize budgetary funds expended on the facility.
 
The Board has received a proposal from a group of owners to reopen certain areas of the facility. The Board, in a telephone workshop meeting stated:
 
"The Board supports partial reopening of the Resort facility, limited to the pool, bath house and laundry room, pending resolution of legal and operational concerns." 
 
 
Update to Resort Facility Closure -- September 1, 2008
Due to liability issues, the resort property will be posted and trespassing will not be allowed.
All resort facilities are closed as of today, September 1, 2008, with the exception of the airstrip and water sales.
The Association office will remain open and water sales will be continued through that office.
 
OPERATIONS ANNOUNCEMENT - AUGUST 2, 2008
The last day of operation of the Bad Rabbit Cafe has been changed to August 10, 2008, through the lunch shift. Two multiple hour electrical outages this week caused spoilage of food inventory that will not be replaced.
 
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCEMENT – AUGUST 1, 2008
 
The failure of the amended TRMA agreement and the requested assessment increase has made it necessary for the Board of Directors to direct Management to cut expenses across all operations:
 
  • The Resort facilities will be temporarily closed as of September 1st until funding and business plan issues can be resolved.
  • Road Maintenance will be reduced by not filling currently vacant positions and delaying major repair projects.
  • Payroll will be further reduced by shortening administrative staff hours affecting property owner service, assessment collections and accounting.
  • Other administrative costs will be reduced and administrative revenue sources reviewed for possible increases.
Temporary Closure of the Resort facility FACTS to date:
  • The closure is considered temporary, although no reopen date has been determined at this time
  • The Bad Rabbit Cafe will remain open through Sunday, August 17th, serving during its current summer hours
  • The rooms, RV sites and camping sites will be open through Labor Day weekend, with final check out on Tuesday, September 2nd
  • The pool will be closed beginning  September 2nd  
  • The bathhouse will be closed beginning September 2nd  
  • The laundry will be closed to the public September 1st
  • The cold storage facility for game will not be available during hunt season
  • The air compressor will be closed to the public beginning September 1st
  • The airstrip will remain open although maintenance may be discontinued
  • The resort office will close and retail sales will be discontinued September 1st  
  • Water Sales will not be discontinued
