K Mead vs. POATRI Lawsuit update

This lawsuit is being handled by an attorney out of El Paso (Mr. Paxon) and the BOD has not been involved, nor have they attended any of the proceedings.  I was notified a few days ago by the attorney that the judge had a motion for summary judgement hearing on May 25, 2011.

The attorney for POATRI presented our motion for summary judgement proving that the cause of action for malicious prosecution accrues on the date charges were resolved in favor of the plaintiff,  and the judge granted our motion.  The hearing was over. 

Ms. Mead has filed an appeal, which is on the docket for the Eighth Court of Appeals in El Paso.
